Please join us to see the second and third graders show their gallery of Scratch projects.  Our Middle and High School tutors have been working closely with their second and third grade students to help them create stories!

Teaching Scratch: Tutors and pair collaboration

Second and third graders worked on creating a story in which one character tells the story of another character. Students practiced concepts of sequencing and look blocks and learnt about broadcast.

In our third session of CS First Storytelling module, students learnt about adding different ideas to their stories and were introduced to the concept of modularity. Students explored different add-ons and continued to work on their stories.

New program targeted at 2nd and 3rd graders

We are launching a new program to teach Scratch to second and third graders at Mariano Castro Elementary School and Gabriela Mistral Elementary School in Spring 2016. We will be using the  CS First curriculum to teach an eight week session on Scratch.
